Rocca Borromeo of Arona: is a construction for defensive purposes, overlooking Lake Maggiore. Sacro Monte of Orta on the top of a hill overlooking Lake Orta, the Sacro Monte merges in an exemplary manner with the surrounding landscape. The forest, the variety of architectural styles and decorative, the enchanting view of the lake are elements that make this place unique, pervaded by a sense of meditation and balance.
The Sacred Mount of Orta is dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi, and each of the twenty chapels recounts episodes from the Saint's life, understood as the similarity of the life of Jesus; their dedication to a Saint instead of to Christ or to the Madonna makes it different from the other Sacred Mountains.
Sacro Monte of Varallo is a monumental complex formed by 43 chapels scattered along a path that winds in a green hill above the town of Varallo. It has been built, from the end of the fifteenth century, on the initiative of a Franciscan friar, Father Bernardino Caimi, to reproduce the holy places in Jerusalem, no longer accessible from the pilgrimages because of the fall of Constantinople under the domination of the Ottoman Empire. Over time, it has become one of the most important in Italy, where you associate the art and popular devotion. The complex of buildings, fifty, was built over a couple of centuries. Each chapel is, with frescoes (around 4000 figures) and with groups of statues (400), scenes from the life of Jesus and Mary. Today the Sacro Monte is a Special Nature Reserve established by the Piedmont Region.

Parco Faunistico La Torbiera: The Wildlife Park “La Torbiera” is a strip of land fortunately was saved by man, the center for breeding and conservation of endangered species. The protected area covers an area of about 40 hectares, where the forest opens in clearings frequented by deer, foxes, weasels, reptiles (first of all the common viper), hawks and other bird species. Wetlands are also populated by amphibians (triton), herons, ducks and reptiles (water snake).
